There are some toys that never quite let go: The Barbie doll that always
had new things to wear ... the Slinky that intrigued us with its simple
approach to getting around ... the skateboards that were a rite of passage
into coolness. Maybe, like the Frisbee, they were the right plaything
for the times. Or like Pong and the video games, they took play in a whole
new direction. Join us in a celebration of five of our favorite toys --
the Frisbee, the Barbie doll, the skateboard, the Slinky and, of course,
Pong -- as we look back at the people and times that brought them to us.
You might even feel moved to share some of your own Barbie or skateboard
memories.
